Around the fall of 1963, WCCO-TV offered "Little Axel" for only $2.95. Nineteen inches high, with felt suspenders and a string belt, the cloth doll was made by a Chanhassen, Minnesota, manufacturer. The dolls were not a big success; within a year or two they were on sale for half price at the Minnesota State Fair. |
