| Meet the Missus game This radio premium is dated 1937, making it one of the earliest known pieces of Clellan Card memorabilia. Fitzpatrick Brothers, Inc. -- makers of Kitchen Klenzer, Automatic Soap Flakes, and Big Jack Laundry Soap -- sponsored the radio program Meet the Missus. Evidently, the show was syndicated to a number of stations in the Midwest: WBBM (Chicago), WHK (Cleveland), WJR (Detroit), and WKRC (Cincinnati), in addition to WCCO in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Clellan was the host of the show on WCCO radio, beginning on April 1, 1937. The afternoon program featured Clellan bantering with Twin Cities women, broadcast live from Miller's Cafeteria in downtown Minneapolis. |
