| A Party Comes
to Life at Dawn This is a promotional flyer done by WCCO radio capitalizing on the tremendous response to Clellan's second annual "Doughnut Dunking Jamboree" on April Fools Day in 1939. Nearly 2,000 people jammed the Nicollet Hotel Ballroom at 7:00 a.m. to watch Clellan Card present a special edition of his enormously popular Almanac of the Air radio program. The photo used for this cover proved to be quite versatile; it was pressed into service again on more than one occasion. |
