| This ad appeared on the back cover of the Minnesota edition of the October 1959 issue of TV Junior. Axel is flanked by Jack Hastings, formerly Johnny 44 but by 1959 the host of S. S. Popeye; and John Gallos as Clancy the [Keystone] Cop, a brand-new character that fall. Bozo the Clown was a syndicated character, played by different people in different markets; in the Twin Cities he was portrayed by Roger Erickson, who would later become an early morning favorite on WCCO radio. |
